Hire, Train, Monitor, Motivate: Build an Organization, Team or Career of Distinction in the Transformational Workplace is a non-fiction book. David J Waldron uses his experiences to explain how to effectively lead a team, individual or organization to be the best that they can be in their particular field.
I liked the use of real life examples to back up what the text meant. The one that sticks out for me is the student whose ex-boyfriend came onto campus, which is one of the reasons that made security tighter.
Each section and chapter is well divided by the use of bold headings, and each chapter is a reasonable length and it is well laid out.
Certain words and phrases are repeated more often than others to help them stick in your mind. The title ‘Hire, Train, Monitor, Motivate’ is used throughout the book to really help it be at the front of your mind so you do not forget what each word means in respect to the workplace.
I would definitely recommend this book if you are looking to guide your team and/or organization to be the best they can be.
