pretty maidens

I received a copy of this ebook in exchange for a review.

Mary Elizabeth is a teenage girl who gets on well with everybody, especially her best friend Sally. Unknown to her, she has a stalker who is obsessed with her. When her and Sally get kidnapped one evening, her life changes forever.

This book is not for the faint hearted. I thought this book was amazing. I did not want to put it down. It is written in three parts and follows Mary Elizabeth through different stages of her life. The book was really well written and very descriptive, it actually felt as though I was there, and that I could feel everything the characters could feel. There were a few editing errors, for example, full stops not entered at the end of a sentence but these were very occasional, and they did not distract from the story at all.

For a debut novel, this is incredible. J.M.Brown is a talented author, and one that I would read again.

I rate this book 4/5 stars!
