Book Review: “How to start a blog that people will read” by Mike Omar

how to start a blog

I received a copy of this ebook in exchange for a review.
This is not normally the sort of book that I read. The first thing that struck me was there were a lot of links to websites in this book, which, after reading the book, I understand that it is good publicity and the use of video lessons are a good idea.
There were a few very minor errors, such as two instead of to, and seach instead of search. It was also repetitive, but like the author said at the start of the book, some readers do prefer that.
The book was laid out well and it was very easy to understand, even for someone who is not amazing at understanding technological words.

I rate this book 3/5 stars!

Book Review: “Polarity in Motion” by Brenda Vicars

polarity in motion

I was given this ebook in exchange for a honest review.
Polarity is a teenage girl who has recently moved to a new school. A naked picture of her gets posted on the internet, and everybody except Ethan believes that Polarity posed willingly for it. Will Polarity ever find out the truth?

I really liked this book. Polarity is such a relatable character. Most people can relate to feeling left out, alone, or being bullied at school. This book has some strong topics in, such as mental health, racism and bullying. I was surprised at some of the language being used in this book, but it all added to the characters, and the way Ethan reacted to the racism surprised me.
There were a few very minor typos but none of them really distracted me from the story. I would definitely read a sequel to this book.

I rate this book 4/5 stars!

Book Review: “Dawnland Book 1: Pockets Of The Dead” by Karen Carr

pockets of the dead

We meet Hella at the start of the story comfort eating after her boyfriend accused her of cheating on a test. All of a sudden, her life changes forever as the zombie apocalypse happens.
I thought this book had an interesting spin on the zombies. Hella discovering she had a zombie (or zero, as she calls them) killing virus was a good idea, even if she did rely on it too much. Huck and Hella have a bit of a romantic attachment going on, but I wonder if Zeke will get dragged into a love triangle?

I did enjoy this book and I cannot wait to find out what happens in the second and third books.

Book Review: “His Chance At Love” by KC Ann Wright

his chance at love

I received a review copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Lucas is the COO of his family’s business. He has never really fallen in love, mostly because there is only one woman who he truly loves. Stacey is his brother’s assistant, and she works for their company. He allows himself to try a relationship with her, but they have one day together before he receives news that turns his whole life upside down.

I could not put this book down. I became so emotionally involved with the characters, not just Lucas and Stacey, but all the characters.  I could feel their pain when things got changed, and when given bad news, I felt as though I were the one being given that news. I thought I knew where everything was heading, and then a plot twist changed everything. This book is very well written. KC Ann Wright has a fantastic writing style that hooks readers from the start, and makes the readers become emotionally invested with the characters in the book.

I will definitely be reading other books by KC Ann Wright.

Book Review: “Hunter Moon: A Grazi Kelly Book” by C.D.Gorri

huntermoon

Hunter Moon started where Wolf Moon left off. Maria is coming to terms with the fact that she is in fact a Werewolf. She has a lot to learn about her past, her parents but at the same time dealing with her human crush, Sebastian, or her Werewolf crush Ronan.

I really enjoyed this book, perhaps more than the first. I was desperate to see where things would go between Maria and Ronan. The story flows really well, there are no huge time jumps that often cause confusion and leave the reader thinking “What happened?” and I cannot wait to find out what happens next!

Book Review: “Wolf Moon: A Grazi Kelly Novel” by C.D.Gorri

image

I was given this as a free eBook in exchange for a review by the author, C.D.Gorri

C.D.Gorri is a talented author, and one that I will read again.

Maria Graziana Kelly is a normal teenage girl suffering through the normal things teenagers worry about, boys, periods, bullies. But is she really normal?

I found this a very easy book to read, and a very enjoyable book. I kept on reading, wanting to find out what happened next. There are a few minor grammar errors throughout, but none of these distract from the story at all.
I will definitely be getting the next book in the series to find out what happens next!

I rate this book 4/5 stars!

Book Reviewing

This is my first post. I have decided to start a blog dedicated to book reviews. As an avid reader, there is nothing more I like doing than settling down to read a good book. Lately, I have found myself enjoying writing reviews about the books I have read, and giving my personal opinion on the book. I thought it would be a good idea to start this blog to put my reviews on one site.

Thank you if you are reading this!
